Cardinal Kids Preschool is an exciting program for children who are 4 years old by September 1st of the school year for which they are registering. The preschool program follows the regular school calendar.
Cardinal Place is the before/after school program located within the Willmar Public Schools. We currently have three sites – at Kennedy Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School, and Lakeland Elementary School.

School Readiness preschool is a program for families with children 3 to 5 years old. Parents do not attend class with their child. However, they are required to be involved with the program. Many opportunities are available for families.

Willmar Community Education offers private or semi-private swimming instruction for all ages and ability levels. These lessons are 25 minutes in length and geared toward specific goals of each student.

Step back in time at Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center’s Pioneer Cabin! Each session, children will gather by the hearth to hear a new story inspired by Laura Ingalls and pioneer life on the frontier. After the story, we’ll bring history to life by trying an activity that Laura and her family might have done—churning butter, making corn husk dolls, or crafting simple toys. Each visit features a different book and hands-on experience, blending imagination, history, and fun. Meet at the Pioneer Cabin on the Farm Site. Adults with a child are free.
