Cardinal Kids Preschool is an exciting program for children who are 4 years old by September 1st of the school year for which they are registering. The preschool program follows the regular school calendar.
Cardinal Place is the before/after school program located within the Willmar Public Schools. We currently have three sites – at Kennedy Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School, and Lakeland Elementary School.

School Readiness preschool is a program for families with children 3 to 5 years old. Parents do not attend class with their child. However, they are required to be involved with the program. Many opportunities are available for families.

Willmar Community Education offers private or semi-private swimming instruction for all ages and ability levels. These lessons are 25 minutes in length and geared toward specific goals of each student.

THE NUTCRACKER STORY BALLET, presented by Youth Dance Ensemble (a non-profit organization), is based on the classical Nutcracker Ballet by Marius Petipa with music by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This hour-long production is appropriate for young audiences (over four years of age) who will experience Drosselmeyer's wonderful gift to Clara and the adventure that follows. Attendees will watch the Russian, Arabian and Mirliton dances, the Snow Waltz, and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Under the direction of Youth Dance Ensemble’s Director, Leeanne “Dixie” Rairamo, The Nutcracker Story features performing arts students from the Twin Cities' south metro area. The cast is made up of students ages 8-18.
The mission of Youth Dance Ensemble (a non-profit organization) is to enrich the residents of Minnesota by providing an environment of dance training and performance with emphasis on artistic, technical, and creative content. The school of Youth Dance Ensemble offers pre-professional training for the serious student as well as classes for the avocational and young dancer. The Repertoire Ensemble, a company of young artists, will inspire the general public to better understand and appreciate dance in its many forms, to preserve and promote the art of ballet and related cultural traditions.
