    Learn a martial art that combines karate with Tae Kwon Do and is taught in an American format. Classes are upbeat and positive. Learn to be more powerful! Parents are encouraged to train with their children for free. This does not include testing, uniforms, or equipment. The small gym is located at the south end of the school.

  • Cardettes Mini Dance Camp

    Do you know a student who would enjoy dancing with the Willmar Cardette Dance Team? Mini dance camp is a great way for kids to improve their technique, learn new choreography, and gain performance experience in a fun and supportive environment! During this session, kids will have two evenings of practice then showcase their skills on the final day. T-shirt registration deadline: September 4th at 4:00 PM.

In Wild Wolves of Yellowstone, witness the beauty and wonder of Yellowstone National Park with wildlife biologist Doug Smith. Yellowstone National Park’s two million acres of wilderness contain many stories, including one of the best case studies in wildlife conservation. Doug Smith led the project that reintroduced gray wolves to Yellowstone in the 1990s. Go behind the scenes—including never-before-seen photos and videos—of the quest to bring wolves back and the incredible changes that happened after they arrived. About Doug Smith: Doug Smith served as a wildlife biologist at Yellowstone National Park for nearly three decades and studied everything from beavers to birds. Most importantly, he led the Yellowstone Wolf Project, which reintroduced gray wolves to the park. He’s written numerous scientific publications and has been featured in four National Geographic television specials. He has also written and edited several books about the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, including the 2023 book: Yellowstone’s Birds: Diversity and Abundance in the World’s First National Park. ***All children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult family member or guardian; no more than two children per adult.***

Our students will be engaged while discovering how to prepare delicious international and American dishes safely and skillfully. Our mini chefs will enjoy exploring diverse recipes from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America, while learning food prep tips and tricks they can use throughout their life. During our sessions, your child will play kids' games from other countries, learn food terms from around the world, and receive simple recipes they can use at home. This course is tailored for younger students and focuses on microwave cooking. Recipes include Italian Lasagna, Ghanaian Fufu Dumplings, Japanese Rice Balls (Onigiri), Mexican Quesadilla and Salsa, American Mug Cake, Chinese Chaofan, and French Fondue. ***Please Note Student Food Sensitivities***

    Build a computer bot to play head-to-head against other coders! Whether this is your first Code Championship event or if you've been competing for years, this is the perfect way to explore the competitive coding world of Code Championship. No previous coding experience necessary. This Code Championship Series is a series of four tournaments in four weeks (it's ok to miss one or two). These tournaments are hosted online using Google Meet and the Code Championship website. If you have a browser like Chrome or Firefox, no additional download is required. Please come knowing how to navigate the internet with basic typing and mouse control skills. The link to the Google Meet event will be emailed two days before the tournament.
