Cardinal Kids Preschool is an exciting program for children who are 4 years old by September 1st of the school year for which they are registering. The preschool program follows the regular school calendar.
Cardinal Place is the before/after school program located within the Willmar Public Schools. We currently have three sites – at Kennedy Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary School, and Lakeland Elementary School.

School Readiness preschool is a program for families with children 3 to 5 years old. Parents do not attend class with their child. However, they are required to be involved with the program. Many opportunities are available for families.
Become certified with the American Red Cross.
Willmar Community Education offers private or semi-private swimming instruction for all ages and ability levels. These lessons are 25 minutes in length and geared toward specific goals of each student.

These classes are for families with children from birth to pre-kindergarten.

A Saturday morning of fun for children up to age 6 and their parents.
Join us for our free Newborn Coffee Hour, welcoming caregivers and infants aged 0-12 weeks. Led by our Parent Educator and Public Health Nurse/Lactation Specialist, this group meets every Tuesday to explore essential topics such as New Life with Baby, Breastfeeding, Relationship Changes, Body Care for Moms, and more.
Each session provides an opportunity for caregivers to weigh their baby, engage in a check-in chat, participate in a question & answer session, and delve into the weekly topic. No registration is necessary, simply watch our Facebook page for specific class topics.

Kari is the Willmar ECFE teacher. Her favorite part of her job is watching, supporting, and encouraging children as they learn through play. 'Play' is a child's work and we as adults need to encourage that the best we can!
Hello! My name is Abby Zylstra and have been in the early childhood field for 7 years. I love working with young children and their families to help them learn together and grow strong bonds. I enjoy being outdoors, playing with my three young children, and baking.
